The Artist's Guide to Public Art by 
Installed on July 28, 2012, Indra is Columbus State's fourth Percent for Art structure on campus. Commissioned for the Columbus Hall/Library renovation, this stainless steel piece, created by Polish-American artist Olga Ziemska, is attached to the building's south wall. The interconnected symbols, which are meant to represent the college's majors and programs, are connected to the upper right corner of the building near the library's main entrance. Fifteen of the largest symbols of Indra, were directly selected by Columbus State students through a survey the artist conducted in person at the 2012 campus "Welcome Back" event.

A Fulbright Fellow, Olga Ziemska lives in Cleveland, Ohio where she works as a sculptor and public artist. Born in 1976, the Polish-American Ziemska has a Fine Arts Bachelors degree from the Columbus College of Art & Design, and in 2002 she received a Fulbright grant to create site-specific work in Poland. In 2011, she was chosen by the Columbus State Percent for Arts Committee and the Ohio Arts Council to create a public art piece for the newly renovated Columbus Hall/Library.
