I’m a self-taught photographer, and I’ve been making photographs for a long time. I mostly use film, and I use a variety of cameras: the standard 35mm and medium format, but also some panorama, toy, and pinhole cameras. They are all ways to have fun with the medium. I am a member of the Westbridge Camera Club in Columbus and the Fotoklub Exakta in Dresden (a sister city of Columbus). I am also a member of the Ohio Art League, and I am involved with the Facebook group The Art and Artists of 614.
For many years, I only exhibited black and white darkroom photographs. But along the way, I discovered color, and it was pretty cool! In April, I went to New York with friends specifically to take photographs. The City did not disappoint – there were wonderful colors. And so I have lots of City color in this exhibition.
My wife Claire and I live in Westerville, and we like to travel when we’re not playing with the grandkids.
