OhioLINK CARES Act GEER Databases

The OhioLINK library consortium is supporting Ohio academic libraries with databases made available through the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER) funding. As an OhioLINK member library, the CSCC community will now have access to the following databases, some for a limited time. More information is available from OhioLINK to introduce these databases to Faculty.

New GEER Databases for 2023

Elsevier E-Books include subjects including earth and planetary sciences, engineering and computing, life and biological sciences, medical sciences, physical sciences, and social sciences.

Routledge Handbooks includes up-to-date overviews of classic and current research across a broad spectrum of subjects, including the humanities, social sciences, science, and engineering from Routledge and CRC Press. Over 2,700 handbooks published through 2021 are available.

Sage Counseling & Psychotherapy Videos includes over 400 streaming videos on topics including counseling research methods, counseling setting/client groups, theory and approaches, counseling skills, and professional issues.

University Press E-Books from De Gruyter includes ebooks from university presses at Columbia, Harvard, California, Stanford, Toronto, University of Pennsylvania, Rutgers and Penn State covering a variety of subjects, including sciences, humanities, business, technology, medicine, law, and more.

Continuing GEER Resources

MIT Press Direct ebooks publishes significant works from leading educators and researchers around the globe.  This resource covers a wide range of topics, including art, architecture, business and management, cognitive science, computer science and artificial intelligence, design, economics, education, engineering, environmental science, linguistics, mathematics, neuroscience, philosophy, physics, technology, and social theory. These highly regarded e-books could be used as supplemental course materials across many disciplines. Includes all content, approximately 3,200 titles, from 1943 through 2021. 

Complete 2020 Sage Business Cases Collection provides librarians, faculty, and students with cases to support curriculum and independent research. In addition to SAGE’s proprietary and newly commissioned cases, the collection includes cases from a growing list of world-renowned universities and professional associations. With more than 4,000 authoritative case studies from over 100 countries, this robust collection provides access to interdisciplinary cases across in-demand subjects such as entrepreneurship, accounting, healthcare management, leadership, social enterprise, and more. Includes complete SAGE Business Cases Collection, all cases published through 2020.
