A room with a view by Albert Gray, 2017
Curb Alert
Albert Gray
This body of work is a sampling of paintings completed over the course of the last 6 months which focuses on material culled from cell phone photos and images taken from the Free section on Craigslist. Most of these scenes relate to a sense of of obscurity and isolation as well as absurdity. What intrigues me about the content of these images is the implication of evidence and mystery, the aftermath of something.
Albert Gray holds a BFA in printmaking from Montserrat College of Art (2008). An expatriate of New England now resides in Columbus, OH since 2013. He has exhibited work in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Cleveland, and Leipzig (DE) in the last year.
