This guide provides answers to some of the most frequently asked, technology-based questions at the library.

Follow-You Printing

If you are using a student computer on the first or second floor of the library, your print jobs will be available at one of the print release stations anywhere on campus.

There are currently 5 Follow Me print release stations in the library:

  • 4 Stations on Level 2
  • 1 Station on Level 1

Login with you Cougar ID Card to retrieve your print jobs.

Other Follow Me printers are available in the Center for Technology and Learning (TL) Building.

Columbus Campus: Circulating laptop print outs can be retrieved in CO 105 or from any printer on the 2nd floor of the library.

Delaware Campus: At the Delaware campus, all circulating laptops will print to MO 147.

Printing in the Library

This slideshow will walk a user through the general steps of printing to the Library's Follow Me Printers and uses the steps for printing from Microsoft Word as an example. To print from an Internet Browser, see the gallery labeled "Printing From an Internet Browser" lower in this guide to walk through this process. 

Printing in the Library

Step 1

Log in to the computer with your own CSCC user name and password.

Open your document to print and pull up the Print Menu. Before printing, make sure your document is set to print to the “FollowMe” printer.

If you don’t see this option, click the drop down arrow next to the “printer” field. Find “FollowMe” on the list and select it.

If you need more than one copy of your document, type in the quantity you need in the “copies” field.

Step 5

Make sure you have all your settings set up at this time. To have your document printed one-sided, see the box labeled "Printing One-Sided" on this guide to walk through this process. Once you're satisfied with your settings, you can now select "Print."

Go to the printer. You will find a log in screen on the printer’s display.

If you do not see the log in screen, it means someone before you forgot to log off. Select the “logout” option at the top right of the screen. This will take you to the log in screen.

To log in, you will need to type in your Cougar ID. Scan your ID using the scanner on top of the printer.

If you do not have your ID, you can type it in. Tap in the “ID” field to bring up the keyboard.

Type in your cougar ID number.

Select “OK.”

Select “Log In.”

A new page will load showing a list of your print jobs. If you have a large document that you are trying to print, it may take a moment for it to show up.

Step 14

If you do not see your job listed, be patient and select "refresh" on the top right to refresh the page. If you still do not see your job, see a library employee for assistance.

Select the check box next to the job you wish to print.

If you want to print all of the jobs listed, press the checkbox next to “Select All.”

The words “Select All” will change to tell you how many jobs will be printed and how many pages that will be printed in total. You can ignore the price listed. This is for administrative reference only.

Hit the “print” button.

Step 19

The screen will refresh, removing the selected documents from the list and the printer will begin printing your documents. Once your print job starts, hit “logout” at the top right of the screen.
