organization committed to a vigorous presence for poetry in our culture. It exists to discover and celebrate the best poetry and to place it before the largest possible audience.
Founded in 1934, Poets.org aims to foster an appreciation of contemporary poetry and support American poets in all stages for their careers. Poets.org has multiple programs to this end : National Poetry Month, Academy Book Awards, Poetry Audio Archive, online educational resources, and American Poet magazine.
