What's in this Guide?

 

This guide suggests resources to support course work in HNTR 1153 -- Nutrition for a Healthy Lifestyle -- A study of the role of nutrition in establishing, promoting, and maintaining good health.  The composition and functions of foods, nutrition needs throughout the life cycle, and contemporary nutrition concerns are included. The science of bioenergetics and current recommendations specific to human performance are also reviewed in this course.

This course is part of required coursework for those majoring in Dental Hygiene, a Culinary Apprenticeship, Nutrition and Dietetics, Restaurant and Foodservice Management, Baking and Pastry Arts, Exercise Science, Physical Education - Coaching Track, Sport Management, and Wellness & Health Promotion.
