How It Works

How long does a Writing Center appointment last?

  • An appointment lasts one half hour.
  • However, hour-long appointments are available with a Letter of Accommodation on file from Accessibility Services with “Double Time in the Writing Center."

How many times can I visit the Writing Center per week and per day?

  • Writers can attend up to three appointments per week but only one appointment per day.

Should I schedule a Writing Center appointment?

  • Scheduled appointments are strongly encouraged, but we also take walk-in appointments if one of us is available during that time.

Where can I learn how to schedule a Writing Center appointment?

  • For learning how to schedule an appointment, we have a how-to guide available on this tab under "Handouts for Writers."

When are the Writing Centers open?
