How Can I Check Out a Library Book?

Checking out a book from the Columbus State Library is very easy! You can use the search bar below to start searching for books that interest you! Once you find one that catches your eye, you can request for the book to be picked up from either the Columbus Campus library or the Delaware Campus library. All you need to check out a book is a photo ID!

When you search the Columbus State Library's catalog, you will find physical books, as well as a lot of eBooks! Follow the directions outlined in the PDF below to limit your search to printed copies of books and to reserve a book for pickup!

Columbus State's Delaware campus partners with the Delaware County District Library! Anyone can come to the Delaware campus Learning Center to sign up for a DCDL library card. DCDL has a vast collection of popular non-fiction titles. You can browse their collection at Home - Delaware County District Library. If you find a book that you would like to borrow, it can be sent to Columbus State's Delaware campus to be picked up! Select "DCDL CSCC Annex" as the Pickup Location when placing a hold on an item.
