About This Guide

This guide is designed to familiarize you with resources available to aid in the teaching of paralegal courses. You'll be able to find instructional videos, handouts, slideshow presentations, and more that you can use in your class along with in-person or virtual library instruction sessions. 

This guide is organized into tabs and sub-tabs for easy browsing. Here's what you can find in the various tabs: 

Locating Sources: Information on using databases, creating search strings, and using Google and Google Scholar to find resources. 

Evaluating Sources: Information on evaluating sources for credibility, including videos, handouts, research guides, and links to fact-checking and bias-detecting tools online. 

Documenting Sources: Videos, LibGuides and Information about Bluebook citation format. 

Assignments: Resources for specific assignments.

Our research guides are mini-websites created and maintained by Columbus State librarians. These guides provide curated resources for students based on a subject or specific course. If you are interested in creating one for your class, please contact the CSCC Library Staff.
