These citation and formatting handouts, created by Columbus State librarians, may be downloaded and printed for your personal use, or simply use the online PDF.
Think about the terms you want to use to search your topic. Use words or phrases that best describe the topic you want search. not a sentence. Computers ignore word like "a" "the" "of" "in." The terms you use shall bring up unique results. Try to be as specific as possible. You may need to try several different search terms.
Learn new terminology as you read. For example in searching the term nanotechnology you might also pick up engineered nanomaterials (ENMs) or nano ehs. Try all of these terms as unique searches.
