Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First held on April 22, 1970, it now includes a wide range of events coordinated globally through earthday.org (formerly Earth Day Network)[1] including 1 billion people in more than 193 countries.
"Join us to connect with fellow sustainability-minded students and staff. Participate in learning and service events, and promote sustainable practices. We have over 250 members representing 40+ areas of study and were awarded 2023 Student Group of the Year. Past events include recorded webinars (below), tours, conferences, and more. We created the first Sustainability Fair to highlight sustainability across subjects and we lead tree plantings on campus for students. We help send students to MORPC's Summit on Sustainability (October), present at CSCC's Collegiate Leadership Conference of Ohio (CLCO), and we help students find special opportunities, such as the Community College in France program."
