This guide contains resources that supplement the teaching of research in anthropology courses. You'll be able to find instructional videos, handouts, slideshow presentations, and more that you can use in your class along with in-person or virtual library instruction sessions.
This guide is organized into tabs and sub-tabs for easy browsing. Here's what you can find in the various tabs:
Locating Sources: Tutorials for using databases, finding eBooks, searching Google Scholar and a list of useful databases when researching within the Anthropology discipline.
Evaluating Sources: Information on evaluating sources for credibility, including videos, handouts, research guides, and links to fact-checking and bias-detecting tools online.
Documenting Sources: videos, research guides and handouts for MLA, APA, and Chicago style citations
Research guides are small, focused websites created by librarians, sometimes in conjunction with faculty. They are intended to help students with classes and assignments in the online environment. Below is a list of various Anthropology research guides that CSCC librarians have created. If you are interested in creating one for your class, please contact the CSCC Library.
